RMAICT was honoured to represent our organisation at the 11th Southeast Asia Collaboration Symposium on Energy Materials (SACSEM 2025), held at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The symposium brought together researchers, technologists, and industry practitioners from across the region to exchange ideas on the future of sustainable energy and materials innovation. The environment encouraged open discussion and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
From Smart Farming to Energy Materials
During the event, our team presented a session titled “Smart Farming to Energy Material”, where we explored how Smart AI Farming Automation, nanotechnology, and renewable energy materials can work together to build a more resilient and sustainable future. The session highlighted the growing connection between agriculture, energy systems, and advanced materials, showing how innovation in one domain can accelerate progress in another.
A key focus of the presentation was the importance of integration and Climate-Smart Agriculture. We shared how these approaches can support the development of a Food Hub and Security Association, contributing to long-term food and energy resilience. By aligning smart farming technologies with energy and materials research, it becomes possible to design systems that are both productive and sustainable.
Key Takeaways from the Session
Some of the core insights shared during the presentation included:
How smart farming can contribute to energy generation and advanced material development
The use of nanomaterials derived from agricultural waste
Applications of nanomaterials in precision agriculture and renewable energy systems
Real world case studies, including smart solar dryers, sustainable farm microgrids, and IoT based irrigation
These examples demonstrated how research and applied technology can translate into practical solutions.
Collaboration Drives Innovation
Participating in SACSEM 2025 reinforced a key belief at RMAICT. Meaningful innovation happens when research, technology, and collaboration come together. We are proud to contribute to this regional knowledge exchange and look forward to continuing our work in smart farming, sustainability, and applied digital transformation.
